Four local athletes compete at SDGA Amateur Championships

ABERDEEN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Four local athletes competed at the South Dakota Amateur Championship held over three days, August 6th through the 8th at Moccasin Creek Country Club in Aberdeen.

Nick Mahowald would place 12th in flight two and tie for 32nd overall with a three-day score of 230. Charles Fischer would place 11th in flight four and tie for 69th overall shooting a 250. Sam Batta would head into the clubhouse cading a 232 while Tyler VanHecke would shoot a three-day total of 246.

Next up is the SDGA Men’s Senior Championship on August 21st and 22nd at Arrowhead Golf Course in Rapid City.
