WATERTOWN, S.D.—If you’re having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year, a trip to Fort Sisseton State Park this weekend might be just what you need.

The fort is holding its annual “Prairie Christmas”…….

That’s Park Manager Ali Tonsfeldt. She says it’s being held this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m……

She says they’ll even serve chestnuts that have been roasted on an open fire. Tonsfeldt says getting the fort decked out for the holidays is a real treat….

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., or until it’s gone.

The cost is $5 per person.
