Former Watertown Arrow Spencer Waege claimed by Green Bay Packers

GREEN BAY, Wisc.–South Shore native and former Watertown Arrow Spencer Waege will look to build his NFL career with a new team.
ESPN reports the defensive lineman was claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers Thursday.
Waege was an All-American at North Dakota State, and had been a member of the San Francisco 49’ers prior to the Packers waiver claim.
Waege joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent last year. He failed to make their roster, then spent the second half of the season on their practice squad.
