Former Sioux Falls television news anchor arrested for aggravated assault

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–A former Sioux Falls television news anchor is facing Aggravated Assault charges for hitting a man in the face with a beer bottle during an argument over politics.
Sioux Falls police arrested 28 year-old Kamie Jo Roesler of Columbia, South Carolina following the Sunday afternoon incident at a home in the 1100 block of North Prairie Avenue in Sioux Falls.
Roesler was arguing with a 32 year-old man from Colton, South Dakota about politics when she hit the man with a beer bottle, cutting his face.
The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.
Roesler is a former news anchor at KSFY Television, and according to her Twitter account, is currently employed as a morning news anchor at WIS Television in Columbia.
