Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tavaris Jackson killed in car crash

Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was killed in a car accident in Alabama Sunday night.
The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. about seven miles south of his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama. Jackson was driving a car that left the roadway, hit a tree and overturned.
Jackson was drafted by the Vikings in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft and played 10 years in the NFL, including five years in Minnesota where he went 10-10 in 20 starts while throwing for 39 touchdowns and 35 interceptions.
He later played two stints with the Seahawks and one year with the Bills. He was quarterback Russell Wilson’s backup during Seattle’s Super Bowl season in 2014.
Tavaris Jackson was 36 years old.
