WATERTOWN, S.D.–Forecasters are keeping an eye on what could be a Veteran’s Day snowstorm across the upper Midwest this Friday.

Kari Fleegel is a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Aberdeen.

She says high winds, much colder air, and snow will move into the region Thursday night into Friday…

Fleegel says on Friday, areas that are getting snow could even see blizzard-like conditions…

Fleegel says it’s too early to talk about specific snow amounts, but at this point, the heaviest snow potential appears to be in north central South Dakota, where several inches are possible.

Fleegel says it’s guaranteed to be much colder by this coming weekend. For example, Watertown’s forecast high temperature on Saturday is 17 degrees.
