FOOTBALL: Mitchell rushes past Watertown

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — A powerful ground game by Mitchell was too much as Watertown would fall to the Kernels 27-13 Friday night.

The Kernels would rush for 229 yards on the night, Watertown 191.

Owen Spartz would rush for 131 of those yards on 23 carries.  Drew Norberg would carry the ball seven times for 41 yards and one TD and toss 89 yards through the air on 9-17 and one interception.

Ben Althoff was the leading tackler for the Arrows with 13, Reese Stark with seven, and Mason Cordell with five.  Mac Young and Devon Lewis would each have a sack.

Andrew Czech would knock through field goals of 20 and 22 yards.
