ST. PAUL, Minn.  – The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting nine more flu-related deaths in the last week.

A total of 25 people have died of influenza complications since the season began in late September.

There were 27 flu outbreaks in schools in the week ending January 11th and 148 flu-related hospitalizations.

In South Dakota, the first two flu-related deaths of the season were reported over the past week–one in Deuel County and two others in Mellette County.
