WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown mobile home and all of its contents were destroyed by fire last night.

Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to 909 12th Avenue Northwest at 10:20 p.m.

When they got there, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of the home.

The fire was under control in thirty minutes.

The property is a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.

At 1:25 this morning, while crews were still at the mobile home fire, a call came in for flames showing from the top of the Terex building at 3104 15th Avenue Southeast.

One engine crew from the house fire broke away and two more trucks from the station responded.

Crews investigated the fire and found that Terex had removed the filters off a heating unit because they were freezing up.  With the filters off, you could see into heat unit and see the flame.

This is normal working for the furnace and no action was taken to put it out.
