KIMBALL, S.D.–One person has died after a motorcycle crash in Brule County on Saturday night.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a motorcycle pulling a trailer was traveling west on Interstate 90, two miles west of Kimball. A tire on the motorcycle went flat, causing the motorcycle and trailer to fishtail and roll several times.
The 69 year-old male driver was taken by ambulance to the Sanford Chamberlain Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. He was wearing a helmet.
In a separate crash, one person died near Wagner on Sunday morning. According to the Department of Public Safety, an SUV was traveling west on a gravel road when the driver lost control.
The vehicle entered a ditch and rolled. The 63-year-old female driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
The name of the victim has not been released pending family notification.
