Encroachment agreement approved for LATC’s Archway Project (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Some housekeeping business was done at last night’s Watertown City Council meeting.
The council approved an encroachment agreement with Lake Area Technical College for the archway project that’s now under construction.
The archway is a pedestrian walkway that will span across Arrow Avenue, connecting the north and south ends of campus.

LATC President Tiffany Sanderson told the counci this archway project is part of the latest campus expansion at LATC…….
Sanderson was asked about a project completion date, and when Arrow Avenue at LATC will be back open to traffic…
Funding for the project includes $7.5 million in one-time state funds, and an eight million dollar donation from First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard.
