ECC names boys and girls all-conference selections

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Eastern Coteau Conference has released their 2020-2021 boys and girls all-conference selections.

On the girls side, Waverly-South Shore senior Emily Kranz was named to the first team and choses as the ECC Most Valuable Player.  Also picked for the first team was Waubay-Summit junior Zoey Wohleber, Wilmot junior Madeline Remund, Florence-Henry sophomore Trinity Watson freshman Caylin Kelly. Waverly-South Shore Coach Taylor Rymerson was named ECC Coach of the Year.  Florence/Henry won the ECC in 2020-2021 with a conference record of 5-0.

For the boys, Waverly-South Shore senior Austin Applehof and Florence/Henry senior Braden Brandreit were selected to the first team and chosen as the ECC co-most valuable player.  Also selected from Florence/Henry was senior Tate Bergh.  Waubay/Summit sophonore Damon Opdahl and senior Cobly Rumpza and Great Plains Lutheran junior Sam Hansen were also honored as first team selections.  Waverly-South Shore Coach Joe Dalton was named ECC Coach of the Year.  Florence/Henry won the ECC in 2020-2021 with a 5-0 record.
