Early morning crash at Watertown intersection injures one driver
WATERTOWN, S.D.–One person had minor injuries following a crash early this (Monday) morning in Watertown
It happened just after 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of 10th Avenue Northeast and 4th Street.
A vehicle driven by an 18 year-old Watertown woman was westbound on 10th Avenue when she failed to stop for flashing red lights at the intersection and collided with the right rear corner of a Freightliner straight truck that was northbound on 4th Street.
The woman was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with minor injuries.
The truck driver, a 21 year-old man from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, was not injured.
The woman was cited for failing to stop at the intersection.
Names of those involved were not released.
