DSU men’s basketball rolls to second straight win, defeats Wolfpack

MADISON, S.D. (DSUAthletics.com) – All eleven Dakota State (S.D.) men’s basketball players scored in the game Sunday afternoon at DSU Fieldhouse, rolling to their second straight victory. The Trojans stormed past Oak Hills (Minn.) 83-53, moving to 5-0 all-time series record with the Wolfpack.

Josh McGreal poured in a season-high 27 points on his 10-of-17 field goals, 2-of-4 3-pointers and converted 5-of-6 free-throws for Dakota State. He also pulled down a season-high eight rebounds. He had two assists.
Ronnie Latting added 12 points (5-of-8 field goals) and grabbed eight rebounds for DSU. Gare Ewefada scored seven points and collected nine rebounds. Gavin Schipper and Jade Burma each tallied eight points.

DSU, who never trailed in the forty minutes basketball game, lifted their overall record to 2-3. Oak Hills was playing their third straight game in three days on the road, fell to 3-6 overall record.

Dakota State now awaits until Saturday, Dec. 19 for their next game. The Trojans travel to St. Paul, Minn. to take on NCAA Division III Northwestern (Minn.) for a non-conference game. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. at Ericksen Center.

DSU was originally scheduled to host the North Star Athletic Association contests with Viterbo (Wis.) on Friday (Dec. 11) and Waldorf (Iowa) on Saturday (Dec. 12). The virus issues at Viterbo and Waldorf had prompted to postpone those contests, with a make-up date with the V-Hawks on Jan. 29, 2021. There is no make-up date for the game with the Warriors at this point.
