MADISON, S.D. (DSUAthletics.com) – Dakota State (S.D.) have ten football games slated on their 2021 schedule, five games at Trojan Field and five games on the road.
The Trojans kick off the fall season with the annual rivalry game with Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) on Saturday, Aug. 28. The Chamber of Commerce traveling trophy, which was won by DSU in the last four meetings, kicks off at 7 p.m. at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell, S.D.
Dakota State plays their home opener on Saturday, Sept. 4 versus NCAA Division III Wisconsin-La Crosse at 4 p.m. and will have a bye week on Sept. 11.
The sixth annual Ag Bowl festivities is scheduled for Sept. 18 in the North Star Athletic Association season opener versus Presentation (S.D.) at 4 p.m. DSU wraps up their three-game home stand versus Mayville State (N.D.) in the annual Trojan Day homecoming football game on Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. Senior Day will also be held.
The Trojans head on the road for the next two games, visiting at Waldorf (Iowa) on Oct. 2 and six-time NSAA’s defending champion Dickinson State (N.D.) on Oct. 9.
Dakota State returns home for their final two games at Trojan Field, hosting Valley City State (N.D.) on Oct. 16. The Trojans wrap up their home schedule against the newest association member of the football league, Iowa Wesleyan on Oct. 23.
Following their bye week on Oct. 30, DSU travels to Valley City State on Nov. 6 and Presentation on Nov. 13 to conclude their regular-season schedule.
The 16-team NAIA Football national playoffs officially beings on Nov. 20.
