Driver dies in collision between car and North Dakota DOT snowplow

GRAFTON, N.D. – One person was killed in a collision between a car and a snowplow on I-29 about 20 miles southeast of Grafton around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say a southbound North Dakota DOT snowplow was pulling a plow trailer, pre-treating the road for icy conditions. The snowplow, with emergency lights activated, was struck from behind by the car.

The driver of the car died. Their name has not been released.

The driver of the snowplow was not hurt.
