WATERTOWN, S.D.—A restaurant in downtown Watertown will be closing its doors this month.

The Maple Street Diner will serve its last meals on December 20th.

In a statement, ownership says:

“It has been a very difficult decision that had to be made. Thank you for supporting Maple Street Diner for the last 13-plus years. We appreciate every single one of you for your friendship, support and good conversations over the years! We will miss you all!!”

They says there is a possibility the square footage they occupy in the Midland Plaza building at 100 South Maple could be leased out to someone interested in starting a new restaurant at that location.
