Double digit increase pushes Watertown gas prices back above $3.00 a gallon

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Just in time for people making that Fourth of July trip. or taking a vacation, gas prices have taken a jump in Watertown, and a rather sizable one at that.
Prices at many stations jumped 11 cents a gallon Tuesday, from $2.94 to $3.05 a gallon.
Prices have been on a steady climb over the past six months.
Triple-A puts the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded at $3.03 a gallon.
A year ago at this time, it was $2.17 a gallon.
