SALEM, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Class AA girls downed the Class A girls 85-77 to open the Three Class Shootout Saturday in Salem.
Isabelle Moore would lead the scoring for the AA Team with 20 points. Watertown’s Maggie Heesch would add six points on three of nine shooting from the field, dished one assist, and grabbed two boards.
Cassidy Siemonsma and Kalla Bertram would lead the Class A girls with 14 points each. Hamlin’s Kylee Wadsworth had three points on the night.
Game two of the night would see the AA Girls squeak by the B Girls 79-76. Brecli Honner’s 18 would lead the AA Girls. The Arrows Maggie Heesch finished the night with seven points.
Haley Meyer netted 17 points to lead the B Girls. Waverly-South Shore’s Emily Kranz added 11 points, and Castlewood’s Alayna Benike grabbed six boards.
On the boys side, the AA boys would go into triple figures over the A Boys, 126-97. Five AA Boys would score in double figures led by Blaze Lubbers with 27. Six A Boys would net double figures with Dillion Gestring leading the way with 16.
The final game of the Three Class Shootout would see the AA Boys go into triple figures once again over the Class B Boys, 118-94. Seven AA boys would score in double figures with Micah Swallow and Kade Moffitt netting 17 points each. Isaac Sumption would lead the Boys B with 17 points. Langford’s Colin Frey added 14 points.
