Deuel gymnastics rolls at Region 1A meet
MADISON, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Deuel gymnastics cleaned up at the Region 1A meet on Thursday.
The Cardinals took home the 1st place trophy with a team score of 142.875. Estelline/Hendricks came in third with a 133.125, Milbank fourth 129.475, Rounding out the local scoring was Sisseton 115.225 and Britton-Hecla 113.675.
For Deuel, Paige Simon would place first on the bars (9.3750), beam (9.4250), and all around (37.275) and take second on the vault (9.1750). Rachel Blue would place first on the floor (9.3750), vault (9.1750) take second on the bars (8.8750) and all around (36.200). Brooklyn Peterson would take second on the beam (8.8750).
Sophie Johnson of Estelline/Hendricks would take second on the floor (9.3250).
The 2020 South Dakota State Gymnastics Meet will be held February 14-15 in Aberdeen.
