MITCHELL, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – The Class A State Gymnastics Meet will be held this weekend at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

Deuel will come into the meet after an up and down season but finished the regular season strong with a first-place showing at their home invite and a second-place finish at the Region 1A. Coach Caitlin Steffensen says after numerous injuries this season, she feels things are coming together for the Cardinals at the right time:

Deuel is led this season by two seniors Elise Hotzler and Paige Simon:

In addition to Hotzler and Simon, Deuel will be taking Hope Bjerke, Hannah Cutshaw, Adysyn Wiesner, and Rosalia Reppe to the Class A State Meet which runs February 11th and 12th. The team competition will be held Friday and the individual competition on Saturday.
