Denver Air Connection sees busiest month yet at Watertown Regional Airport

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Denver Air Connection (DAC) has seen its best month in Watertown since they arrived in town on July first. 

Airport Manager Todd Syhre tells KWAT News DAC boarded 905 passengers on flights to Denver and Chicago last month. 

SkyWest Airlines, operating as United Express, saw 1,072 passengers in October. 

SkyWest recently announced they would dial back service to Watertown in December, and terminate all flights out  of the city on January 4th. 

DAC will continue providing non-stop jet service to Denver International Airport and Chicago O’Hare under the terms of an Essential Air Service contract that runs through May 31, 2023. 

In their first four months of serving Watertown Regional Airport, Denver Air Connection has flown 3,151 passengers out of Watertown.
