Decision not set if NSAA Volleyball Tournament returns to Watertown next year

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — North Star Athletic Association Board of Athletic Directors announced last week that volleyball will operate a split season.

NSAA volleyball teams will play each other one time in the fall of 2020 and one time in the spring of 2021.  This will lead up to the North Star conference tournament on April 9-10, 2021.

The NSAA conference tournament was originally scheduled for November 13-14, 2020 at the Watertown Civic Arena.  A  location for the tournament has not been announced.

In a release, Julie Knutson, Executive Director with the Watertown Convention and Visitors Bureau says she has been in contact with the NSAA to discuss how the tournament might look if it were to be held in Watertown this April.  Watertown was the host for the NSAA Conference volleyball tournament in 2019 as well as the NSAA Men’s and Women’s conference basketball tournaments 2018 – 2020.
