KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Thursday that it has come to terms with Dakota State (S.D.) to extend its contract as the host of the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship through the 2024 season.

Dakota State just completed its third year as host of the championships at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex (SJAC) in Brookings, S.D. Last season, Oklahoma City edged out Indiana Tech for the Red Banner on the men’s side, while the Warriors cruised to the women’s title with an impressive performance overall.

The Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex also serves as the host site for the North Star Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championships, where the Trojan men’s indoor track & field squads had won three team titles in the previous meets held at SJAC (2019, 2020, and 2022; 2021 conference meet was held in Yankton where DSU finished second).
