WATERTOWN, S.D. –Many businesses are making adjustments due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and that now includes casinos.
Dakota Sioux Casino and Hotel in rural Watertown has announced that beginning this Sunday, they will close from midnight to 8 a.m. daily for deep cleaning and disinfecting. All machines and high traffic areas will be targeted.
The casino’s salad bar and buffet will be shut down. Only menu items will be available. Deli hours will be 8 to 5, and restaurant hours will be 5 pm to 10 pm daily.
Hy-Vee is changing its store hours, effective today. Hy-Vee will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The shortened hours will allow employees additional time to clean and sanitize all areas of the store, and restock items that are in high demand.
Additionally, all dining areas in Hy-Vee stores, restaurants and convenience stores are now closed to the public.
Hy-Vee will no longer print its weekly advertising circular because high demand for many products means suppliers are unable to guarantee the fulfillment of certain products.
“This is an unprecedented situation for all of us. We’ve never dealt with anything like this before, and we know our customers haven’t either. We appreciate their patience and loyalty as we navigate these changing times,” said Randy Edeker, Hy-Vee’s chairman, CEO and president. “We are committed to doing all we can to keep our customers and employees healthy and safe, and to being the helpful smile in every aisle that is needed during this time.”
