WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Post 17 baseball would hold Huron to just 2 runs in 14 innings of play in a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday during senior night at Watertown Stadium.

A four-run first inning propelled Watertown to a 7-2 game one victory. The purple and gold would put down 14 hits in the game. Braedon Zaug had a three-hit one RBI night, Ben Althoff, Ryan Roby, Kolby Lacher, and Will Engstrom each had two hits. Lacher and Engstrom would each send two past the plate. Andrew Czech worked five and two-thirds on the mound allowing four hits, one run, giving out three free passes while fanning nine.

Jerod Cyrus and Ryan Roby would combine to throw a no-hitter in a 4-0 game two win for Watertown. Cyrus worked five and two-thirds on the hill collecting nine K’s while Roby worked an inning and a third in relief. Carson Mutschler, Drew Denzer, Roby, Althoff and Zaug would each combine for one of Watertown’s five hits.

Watertown (20-33) will travel to Fargo Post 2 on Saturday and West Fargo on Sunday.
