WATERTOWN, S.D.—Oil prices continue to plummet during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that’s being reflected in prices at gas pumps.
U.S. crude dropped another seven percent Monday, finishing at an 18-year low of $20.09 a barrel.
That’s led to a sharp decline in gas prices.
According to the website http://www.southdakotagasprices.com/, the statewide average in South Dakota is $1.86 a gallon. A month ago, it was $2.30 a gallon. A year ago, it was $2.54 a gallon.
Casey’s General Stores in Watertown lowered their gas prices another dime a gallon on Monday, to $1.79 a gallon.
