VERMILLION, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — After being delayed a week due to their COVID-19 protocols, South Dakota football is ready to begin their eight game Missouri Valley Football Conference schedule this Saturday.
The Coyotes come into this year after a 5-7 2019 season. The Yotes have not played since November 23rd, 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed the fall 2020 regular season to the spring of this year. Coach Bob Nielson talks about adjusting to playing the regular season in the spring:

South Dakota opens the regular season at Illinois State. Kickoff slated for noon. The South Dakota-Western Illinois that was scheduled for Friday, February 19th at the DakotaDome has been rescheduled for April 17th.
