ST. PAUL, Minn.—Minnesota’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic took a dramatic turn Monday.

Governor Tim Walz issued an executive order that all Minnesota bars and restaurants must close by 5 p.m. today…

The executive order impacts customers who dine in. Take out orders from restaurants and curbside pick up will still be allowed.

The closure also affects theaters, museums, fitness centers and community centers, and runs through March 27th.

Minnesota has 54 confirmed cases of COVID-19, primarily in the Twin Cities metro area.
