WATERTOWN, S.D.–With construction scheduled to begin on Watertown’s new two-sheet ice arena this spring, conversations at some point will turn to the existing George E. Maas Ice Arena, and what its future will be.

City Manager Amanda Mack talked with KWAT News about that…

Mack says at this stage, it looks like the building could have some useful purpose going forward. It just hasn’t been determined exactly what that will be….

Rink Scheduling and Consulting Services (RSCS) LLC of Woodbury, Minnesota is the consultant the city hired that could help determine what to do with the existing arena, as well as help them determine how the new arena will be managed once it opens.
