WATERTOWN, S.D.–The scheduled completion date of the Highway 212 construction project in Watertown is now less than a month away.

Concrete paving work on the two southside lanes of the highway is finished, with crews now turning their attention to the two northside lanes.

South Dakota DOT Engineer Bryce Olson tells KWAT News that pouring concrete can be a temperature-sensitive business, and with overnight lows recently getting below freezing, construction crews have had to adjust…

The nearly $13 million project is scheduled to be finished in mid-November.

It includes a total re-pave of Highway 212 from 19th Street East to the intersection with Highway 81, along with new sidewalks, new storm sewer systems, and new street lighting.
