WATERTOWN, S.D.—A COVID-19 Triage Hotline created in Codington County is beginning its second week of operation today.

The hotline, launched last Wednesday, provides a phone number people can call if they have questions about the virus, or have symptoms themselves and are looking for guidance on what to do next.

Melissa Magstadt is a nurse practitioner at the Quick Care Clinic in Watertown, and one of the organizers of the hotline.

She says they’ve fielded around 25 calls in the first week…

The hotline is staffed by volunteers who work, or have worked, in the medical profession…

Magstadt says if you have any COVID-19-related questions, please call the hotline….

The hotline is staffed from 9 am to 9 pm weekdays, 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and 1 pm to 5 pm on Sundays.

The hotline number is (605) 753-1408.
