WATERTOWN, S.D.—Jamie Torstenson is the choice to become Codington County’s new emergency management director.
His selection was unanimously approved by the Codington County Board of Commissioners this morning.
After his hiring was announced, he spoke to the board….
Torstenson was among six people who applied for the job. All six were interviewed.
He says he doesn’t come into this job having all the answers, but he’ll learn along the way…
The man he’s replacing, Jim Sutton, thinks this is a good hire…
Torstenson starts January 1st. Sutton retires at the end of January.
