Codington County COVID-19 count climbs above 200 cases

WATERTOWN, S.D.–This has been the most aggressive week for COVID-19 growth in South Dakota since the pandemic began.

New data from the State Health Department indicates another 457 new cases today.

In the last three days, there have been more than 1,300 positive cases in the state.

One-hundred-ninety-four South Dakotans are hospitalized with COVID. The death toll is at 216.

Codington County numbers continue climbing too. The active case count today is at 208. In mid August, that number was 46.
