Class A Legion Tournaments to be held this weekend

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Its the younger Watertown legion baseball squads turn for post season play this weekend.

Watertown Post 17 Junior Legion opens their region tournament at Mitchell vs Aberdeen, 11 a.m. Friday.

The 16 and under State A Tournament will be played at Harrisburg and Tea. The Watertown Red Sox (11-24) will open tournament play Friday night vs Renner at 7:30 p.m in Harrisburg.

The 14 and under State A Tournament will be held at Aberdeen with the Watertown Black Sox (11-21-1) facing Renner at 10 a.m. and Yankton at 6 p.m. Friday.

The Watertown Grey Sox (24-6) will open the 13 and under State A Tournament at Sioux Falls Saturday vs Sioux Falls East at 3:30 p.m.

The 13-14 and under Class A State Tournament will be held at Watertown Stadium and Foundation Fields Friday through Sunday. Friday’s games at Foundation Fields include Aberdeen vs Brookings at 5 p.m. and Renner vs SEBA at 7:30 p.m. Friday games at Watertown Stadium includes Harrisburg vs Brandon Valley at 5 p.m. followed by the Watertown White Sox (15-12) vs Pierre at 7:30 p.m.
