WATERTOWN, S.D.–The city of Watertown has announced the hiring of two new employees.

Dusty Rodiek has been hired to lead the Parks and Recreation Department. That position had been open since the city parted ways with Terry Kelly in August.

Rodiek is the former Parks and Recreation Director for the city of Brookings. His first day on the job was Monday.

Watertown has hired Scott Gloe to be superintendent of the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena that’s under construction.

Gloe is the CEO of Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. He’ll leave that job November 11th, and start working for the city in mid to late November.

Gloe has a degree in commercial economics from SDSU, where he was also a member of the club hockey team.
