WATERTOWN, S.D.—Watertown makes the transition to a voter-approved city manager form of government in 2021. That’s when the day to day operations of the city are turned over to a yet-to-be-hired city manager.
Mayor Sarah Caron says the first steps in finding a city manager will be happening soon……
The city manager will have a non-voting role at city council meetings.
The council next year will be reduced from 10 members to six, plus the mayor.
