WATERTOWN, S.D.—In the midst of all the COVID-19 talk, a candidate forum was held at Watertown City Hall Wednesday night. It featured Codington County Commission candidates, and candidates running for state legislative seats.

The incumbent in District Two is Commissioner Charlie Waterman, who has no problem calling himself a tightwad. In fact, he mentioned it off the cuff in his closing remarks…

The candidates for the District Four Commission seat are incumbent Troy VanDusen and challenger Toby Wishard.

VanDusen was asked how the county can look for savings as it deals with a tight budget due to the pandemic. He says sometimes, that means you have so say “no”…
