HENRY, S.D.–Two brothers were arrested in Henry Thursday night after gunshots were fired within the city limits.

Codington County Chief Deputy Brent Solum says officers were dispatched to the 600-block of 2nd Street at 10:45.

Deputies talked to a homeowner, 39 year-old Levi Foley, and discovered his brother, 34 year-old Wayne Foley, had shown up at the home intoxicated.

Wayne Foley began, “beating and choking” his own dog on the front lawn of the home, causing Levi Foley to fire a handgun into the air twice.

Wayne Foley then left the residence and walked to a local bar where he was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Animal Cruelty.

Levi Foley was arrested for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.

Both men were booked into the Codington County Detention Center and released on personal recognizance bonds.
