Brookings school superintendent turns in resignation notice

BROOKINGS, S.D.–Brookings School District Superintendent, Dr. Klint Willert, has resigned, effective June 2nd.
A release from the Brookings School District says the board has received Dr. Willert’s resignation and they thank him for his service.
School Board Chair Keli Books says the board will quickly and thoroughly focus on a search for the next superintendent. The Board will hold a special meeting today to accept Willert’s resignation and to initiate the search for the next Superitnendent.
Willert joined the Brookings School District in July 2015.
