BREAKING: Watertown gets $9 million federal grant for new airport terminal (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.—A major announcement today from the federal government impacting a construction project at Watertown Regional Airport.

 

U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao announced that the airport is receiving a $9 million grant to build a new terminal building at the airport.

Syhre says this federal grant speeds up the timeline for construction a new terminal building…

 

 

Chao also announced that the Rapid City Regional Airport is getting a two-million dollar grant to renovate their terminal building, and Joe Foss Field in Sioux Falls is getting $9.7 million to rebuild a runway.

 

It’s part of a $485 million investment in America’s airports that Chao announced on Friday.
