BREAKING: South Dakota’s attorney general kills pedestrian in Hyde County traffic crash

HIGHMORE, S.D.–We’re learning more details about a fatal accident involving South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg (pictured).
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the 44 year-old Ravnsborg was westbound on U.S. Highway 14 a mile west of Highmore at 10:30 Saturday night when he struck and killed 55 year-old Joseph Boever of Highmore.
Ravnsborg told the Hyde County Sheriff he had been involved in a car-deer crash.
Boever’s body was discovered Sunday morning.
Ravnsborg was not injured.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
