BREAKING: Codington County Sheriff’s Department investigating death of two year-old child

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Local authorities are investigating the death of a two year-old child in Watertown.

Codington County Sheriff Brad Howell says in a news release that deputies and Watertown Fire Rescue medical personnel were called to a report of an unresponsive child at 8:01 this morning in the 900-block of 41st Street Southwest.

They arrived to find a two year-old child deceased. 

Howell says a search warrant was being conducted at the residence.

The name of the child has not been released, nor has the gender.

Howell calls it an isolated incident, and says there is no danger to the public.
