PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Board of Directors of the South Dakota High School Activities Association met Wednesday in Pierre.
One item approved by the board was the on-time start to winter sports but with some restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Assistant Executive Director of the South Dakota High School Activities Association John Krogstrand talks about some of the changes you will see this winter to ensure the safety of students in gymnastics and wrestling:
Basketball will be more open-ended:
November 30th is the first allowable contest in the state of South Dakota for wrestling and gymnastics. The first allowable contest for basketball is December 10th.
