ST. LOUIS, M.O. (GoWatertown.net) — The Missouri Valley Football Conference released its preseason poll earlier this week conducted by league coaches, media, and sports information directors. North Dakota State was selected to finish in second place, claiming 18 of the 42 first-place votes. South Dakota State was tabbed to finish first with 24 first place votes.
North Dakota State Coach Matt Entz says this fall, it’s back to “Bison football.”
Entz says NDSU’s 24-20 FCS quarterfinal playoff loss to Sam Houston caused a sense of urgency coming into this year:
The Bison took 10 spots on the Preseason All-MVFC team highlighted by senior wide receiver Christian Watson, who was named to the first team as a wide receiver and return specialist.
The Bison open their fall 2021 campaign at home against Albany on September 4th.
