Bids for commercial air service in Watertown due today

WASHINGTON, D.C.–Airlines interested in serving Watertown with commercial air service face a deadline today.
The Federal Department of Transportation says requests for proposals are due no later than today.
After today, the proposals will be uploaded to www.regulations.gov making them public.
Shortly afterward, the Department will notify the community of the proposals and ask them to submit their comments by a specific date.
Watertown is currently served by regional carrier Denver Air Connection, which flies non-stop to Denver and Chicago.
Denver Air is expected to make a bid to continue as Watertown’s carrier.
Their current contract expires on May 31st.
