Berg selected to compete at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships

Indianapolis (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State graduate student Tanner Berg has been selected to compete at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.

Berg will compete for the Wolves in the hammer throw, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. (CT) on Thursday, May 26. The 2022 DII outdoor track & field championships are from May 26-28 at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Mich.

The Watertown, S.D. native enters the championships with the top throw in the nation of 70.54m. The mark is also a Northern State school record. Berg was crowned the NSIC Champion in the event last weekend and was an All-American in the event a season ago. He took fifth at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a 65.83m toss.
