Beer and wine license renewals approved for previous violators in Watertown (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Several beer and wine license holders in Watertown who had previous violations for serving underage customers, or serving after hours, appeared before the city council last night for license renewals.
Each of them talked about how the violations came about during compliance checks by police, and what the owners have done to prevent those violations from happening again.
Mike Bracht owns Duffy’s Bar, where a bartender got caught for serving an underage customers. Here’s what he told the council…

Bracht says the bottom line for Duffy’s is, they don’t want or need to serve customers who are not of age…
Duffy’s got their license renewed, as did Cowboy Country Store #3, Ringo’s, Lake Stop 20 and the Guest House, the latter of which is an inactive license.
