BBB: DeSmet, Deubrook, Wessington Springs and Castlewood move on in 3B

DESMET, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — De Smet began their post season with a dominant 79-47 win over Hitchcock-Tulare in the Boys Region 3B Tuesday night.

For the Bulldogs, Kalen Garry tallied 30 points on 10 of 14 shooting from the field, four of six from three point land, a perfect six of six from the charity stripe, grabbed 10 boards, dished eight assists and stole the ball three times. Rett Osthus added 18 points, Tory Holland and Damon Wilkinson each added nine.

Alex Clark led the Patriots with 10 points.

Hitchcock-Tulare ends their season with a record of 5-16.

Also in the Boys Region 3B, Deubrook Area ended the season of Arlington 70-66.

Andrew Trooien was the Dolphins leading scorer with 22 points, Mason Shaw added 17 and Cooper Holmlund added 15.

Ryker Erstad led the Cardinals with 22 points, Caden Letsche added 21 and Mason bunker had 11

Arlington ends their season with a record of 9-13.

The other Boys 3B games saw Wessington Springs down Estelline/Hendricks 66-33 and Castlewood end the year of Wolsey-Wessington 54-45.

Friday’s Region 3B finals at the Huron Arena will see the two seed Wessington Springs face off against the three seed Deubrook Area at 4 p.m. and the one seed De Smet take on the five seed Castlewood at 5:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on New Country KS93 and GoWatertown.net.
