BBB: De Smet with dominant win earns way back to State B Tournament

REDFIELD, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — De Smet earned their way back into the State B Boys Basketball tournament next week with a 64-38 SoDak 16 win over Timber Lake Tuesday night in Redfield.

As heard on New Country KS93, Kalen Garry led the Bulldog attack with 26 points on nine of 15 shooting from the field, four of seven from downtown, a perfect four of four from the line, grabbed nine boards and dished three assists. Damon Wilkinson was a force off the bench with 12 points. Ethan McCune added seven, Rett Osthus had five and Tory Holland finished the night with four points.

Hank Kraft’s 12 points would lead the Panthers.

De Smet will be the one seed and face Lower Brule to open the State B Boys Basketball Tournament March 118th at noon. Brent Nathaniel will have coverage of the Bulldogs on New Country KS93.
